Here are a few places for you and your dog in Orlando, Florida.
Windermere Farmers Market- the sights! The smells! The craziness! This is how your dog might feel at this particular place. Open each Friday from 9 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon, this market welcomes dogs and their people. Do keep your dog on a leash and then explore to your heart’s content. From fresh produce to dog stuff, there’s a lot to choose from here. This romantic-sounding space is indeed a pleasure to all the senses for both.
Orlando Farmers Market-staying with markets, check this Sunday market that is open to dogs and humans from 10 am to 4 pm. Free parking makes this place convenient. Find the market at Lake Eola Park. Once here, you’ll be thrilled by the many things you’ll find here- plants, handmade jewelry, arts and craft, artisanal food, and so much more. You can shop for your pets too- from clothing to fresh and healthy treats, your dog is bound to enjoy itself.
Celebration- what started off as an idea by Walt Disney to create a residential space close to its resort, is now a lot more than that. It is a residential space, it has some very cool stores and places to eat and explore. It’s warm and friendly and just the place for your dog and you to unwind.
Winter Garden- a very popular choice for tourists and visitors, this is downtown Orlando, rich for its history, its music and its vibe. The restaurants here are some of the friendliest you can find.
West Orange Trail- this 22-mile rail-trail is a wonderful meandering walk. It makes its way through woods, the Winter Garden, shops, places to eat, and all through the walk, your dog accompanies you.
Avalon Dog Park- It is a great park in Orlando where your dogs can have some fun and frolic. However, make sure that the pet is well behaved and the park rules are followed.
Park of the Americas- It is a very picturesque park with a separate dog park where your furry friends can run around and enjoy happily with other dogs. The dog should be on a leash when you take it to other parts of the park but it can run around freely inside the dog park.
Some of the other parks where you can take your dog to are: Barnett Dog Par, and Waterford Lakes Dog Park.
While in Orlando, your dog and you will need a place to stay. Head to Floridays Resort- if you’re traveling with your family, this is the place for you. This popular resort is known for its pet-friendly policies that allow up to two pets for a fee.
Bohemian Hotel Celebration is a top dog-friendly hotel if you’re looking for more great pet-friendly hotels in Orlando check out this list. Head to this boutique hotel for a stay that’s elegant and luxurious.
The hotel has a one pet policy and charges $150 dollars per stay. There’s a lot your dog and you can enjoy in the property itself before you make your way to other places. Other hotels to consider are the Margaritaville Resort, the Villas of Grand Cypress (a golf resort with individual villas), and Staybridge Suites (for an inexpensive option).
