By Donna Thomas, SouthFloridaReporter.com Meteorologist, Dec. 19, 2015 – South Florida will enjoy its own version of winter this weekend. The cold front has swept past us, and Saturday morning is decidedly cooler and breezy, with lows in the 60s.
The day will feature plenty of sun, some clouds on a cool and strong breeze, a high risk of dangerous rip currents that will last into Monday, and highs in the mid 70s.
Sunday will be another nice winter day, with lows in the 60s, the chance of a stray shower on a strong ocean breeze, and highs in the upper 70s.
Temperatures will climb slowly on Monday, with highs reaching the low 80s, and shower chances will increase slightly.
Tuesday and Wednesday will see a few passing showers, increasing humidity, and highs in the low to mid 80s.
Thursday will bring more humidity and highs in the mid 80s, so Santa will need short sleeves as he makes his rounds in South Florida.
