By Donna Thomas, SouthFloridaReporter.com Meteorologist, Oct. 20, 2015 – South Florida’s weather will be windy with showers on Tuesday. Northeast winds gusting to more than 35 miles per hour at times will bring in passing showers and keep the risk of dangerous rip currents high at local beaches. Tuesday’s highs will be in the mid 80s.
Windy conditions will continue on Wednesday, along with passing showers and a high risk of rip currents. Highs will reach the mid 80s on Wednesday. While Thursday and Friday will be breezy, winds will begin to taper off and we’ll see fewer showers. Highs will be mostly in the mid 80s. The weekend will be drier, a bit warmer, and will feature much gentler breezes.
In the tropics, a weak low in the extreme western Caribbean will bring heavy rain to Honduras, Belize, and the Yucatan as it tracks west-northwestward. It has a low chance of developing into a depression over the next 5 days.
