By Donna Thomas, SouthFloridaReporter.com Meteorologist, Dec. 28, 2015 – South Florida is still waiting for some winter weather, and we’ll have to wait a while longer. It’s still unusually warm on Monday, with morning lows in the mid 70s and highs in the mid 80s. And the strong ocean breeze will keep the risk of dangerous rip currents high once again, as well as blowing a few quick showers through the area.
Tuesday and Wednesday won’t bring relief from our record breaking late December heat wave, and highs will remain stuck in the mid 80s as 2015 wraps up. So look for very warm mornings, highs in the mid 80s, breezy conditions, and a quick shower or two through New Year’s Eve.
A front finally approaches on New Year’s Day, but highs will reach the mid 80s and some showers will develop before the front clears South Florida late on Friday night. Saturday will finally see seasonable temperatures, with morning lows in the 60s and afternoon highs in the refreshing mid 70s.
