It’s late August in South Florida, so it’s no surprise that we’ll see showers and storms on Tuesday. The day features some early east coast showers, followed by sun and clouds. The afternoon brings widespread showers and storms, with greatest coverage along the Gulf coast and in the interior. Highs on Tuesday will be near 90 degrees along the east coast and the low 90s elsewhere.
Wednesday will feature some sun but plenty of passing showers and storms, especially in northern portions of our area. Wednesday’s highs will be in the low 90s.
Look for early east coast showers, morning sun and clouds, and some afternoon showers and storms on Thursday. Thursday’s highs will be near 90 degrees.
Friday will see additional periods of showers and storms but some sun as well. Friday’s highs will be near 90 degrees.
Saturday will kick off a fairly wet Labor Day weekend with sun, clouds, and periods of showers and storms. Highs on Saturday will be near 90 degrees.
While the tropical Atlantic is quiet right now, we do anticipate a wave emerging off the African coast in a day or two. That wave is forecast to have a low chance of development during the next five days as it moves westward in the eastern Atlantic.
