The Week Ahead In One Word – Wet!

week ahead

South Florida will be on the wet side on Monday and for much of the week ahead. After plenty of overnight showers in Miami-Dade, Broward, and the Keys, Monday will feature some sun, building clouds, and plenty of afternoon storms throughout the region, including the Keys and the Naples area. Heavy downpours are possible. Highs will be mostly in the upper 80s, although a few 90 degree readings are possible inland.

week aheadShowers and storms will be back on Tuesday, with coverage along the east coast, the Keys, the interior, and the lower Gulf coast. Tuesday’s highs will be near 90 degrees.

We’ll see winds shift to the southeast on Wednesday, with showers and storms concentrated in the Keys, and the metro areas of Miami-Dade and Broward, but don’t rule them out in the Naples area.

Early showers and afternoon storms will be back on Thursday, with much of the activity in metro Miami-Dade and the Keys. Highs will be in the low 90s.

Faith Based Events

The wet pattern continues on Friday, with early showers especially along the east coast and in the Keys, followed by scattered afternoon storms throughout the region.

week aheadIn the tropics, the area of disturbed weather east of the Bahamas looks very disorganized. The National Hurricane Center gives it a low chance of developing over the next 5 days as it moves northward.

While the disturbance off Florida’s northeast Gulf coast is no longer expected to develop, it will bring flooding rains to the coast from the Big Bend south to Tampa Bay over the next few days.
