These days, there are more ways than ever before to help your child contact or keep in touch with Santa around the holidays. Whether they want to reach out to him directly, or simply watch and interact with him online, there are lots of options to choose from. Learn more in our guide below.
Write Santa a Letter
This is the absolute classic way for kids to contact Santa. There are programs from most major countries’ post office systems that will ensure routing to Santa. Some even provide responses if letters are sent early enough before Christmas. Information on these programs in the US and Canada are available from the websites listed below.

Write Santa an E-mail
Letters are a bit old-fashioned for a lot of modern, digitally literate children. But that’s okay! Santa is totally high-tech and plugged-in, too. There are numerous services available (often from post offices) in countries all over the world that allow children to fill out an online form on a website to submit an e-mail message directly to Santa.
EmailSanta.com is one of the most popular, run by Canada Post. There are also lots of third-party sites you can easily find via Google, Bing, or your preferred search engine. You should carefully read reviews, however, because some of them can be a bit disappointing and form-letter-like in their replies.
Create a Portable North Pole Video
We told you Santa was digital and tech-savvy! You can now get a personalized, portable North Pole santa call and video message from portablenorthpole.com.
Parents can answer some questions about their child, upload pictures, and the system will generate a convincing personal message digitally.
Santa mentions your child by name, and they see the magical elves reviewing the naughty and nice file on your child. There are lots of customization options, too, so you can choose a free option, or get much more detailed with customizable paid choices. It’s also for a good cause, with 5% of sales being donated to children’s hospitals around the world.
Watch Santa’s Reindeer Feeding
During the holiday season, just hop on over to ReindeerCam.com. There, you can watch Santa feeding his reindeer and keeping them healthy and strong for the big night. You can also add your child’s name to the “Nice List” so that it scrolls across the bottom of the feed. Fun, educational, and free!
Track Santa in Real Time on Christmas Eve
The Santa Tracker from NORAD (noradsanta.org) has become quite popular in recent years. Prior to Christmas Eve, the site simply displays a countdown clock until Santa takes to the sky.
Once Christmas Eve arrives, you can watch the tracker as Santa travels all over the world, and get updates on his position in real time.
To help make the waiting go faster, there are a ton of cute games, videos, music, and other interactive things to do while you’re on the site.
