Warm and Nice Today BUT Turning Nasty In Coming Days

Warm today

South Florida is warm and dry on Thursday, but rain and then colder temperatures will soon arrive. Thursday features a mild morning, sun and clouds, and afternoon temperatures in the low 80s.

Warm todayShowers and storms will move in early on Friday as a cold front approaches, and temperatures will top out in low 70s.

Showers will be around overnight and into Saturday morning, ushering in temperatures in the mid to upper 70s.

Another front brings in early showers and colder air on Sunday, when highs will stall out near 70 degrees.

Faith Based Events

Look for even colder air to settle in on Monday and Tuesday, when morning lows will be in the chilly upper 40s to low 50s and highs will be stuck in the mid to upper 60s.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
