UPDATE: Erika Dissipates, Rain Will Move In

By Donna Thomas, SouthFloridaReporter.com Meteorologist, Aug 29, 2015 – Erika has dissipated mid-morning on Saturday and is now an open wave. However, moisture associated with it will bring plenty of rain and periods of gusty winds to all of South Florida during the overnight hours through at least Monday. Some areas of South Florida could experience localized flooding. We’ll watch what’s left of Erika as it makes its way into the Gulf of Mexico, where it could possibly regenerate as a depression while making its way northward or northwestward.
