South Florida is off to a cold start today, and will finish on the cool side. After a decidedly chilly start with morning lows in the 50s (and upper 40s well inland), we’ll see a day with lots of sun, a few clouds, and a cold breeze. The breeze will set up a moderate risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches on Thursday into Friday and beyond. Highs on Thursday will only reach the low 70s.
Friday will be another day of below-normal temperatures, with lows in the 50s and afternoon highs topping out in the mid 70s. But lots of sun and just a few clouds will make the weather fine for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.
Saturday features morning lows mostly in the low 60s, followed by a mix of sun and clouds. A shower or two could blow by on the ocean breeze. Saturday’s highs will be near 80 degrees.
Look for some sun and more clouds on Sunday, and a few showers could pop up in spots. Sunday’s highs will be in the upper 70s.
