This year, in celebration of Independence Day, red, white and blue fireworks will light up One Times Square with an entrancing digitally animated display of fireworks for Toshiba and TDK’s annual tribute to Independence Day.
The digital display will decorate the summer sky and set the mood for the Independence Day holiday in Times Square through July 5th, appearing on the screens once every 5 minutes, 24 hours a day.
Starting on July 4th, the digital fireworks will run continuously as the only featured programming on the Toshiba Vision screens and the TDK screen, as a special salute to the day.
Rising 400 feet above street level, the 130-foot digital fireworks display employs state of the art graphic designs, designed for maximum visual impact in Times Square.
With the background of a starlit sky, the appearance of skylights, reminiscent of a Broadway premiere, signaled the beginning of a traditional Times Square holiday countdown

The digital fireworks follow in the footsteps of the award-winning Times Square digital Christmas tree which lights the Crossroads of the World with holiday cheer and the mesmerizing photos by the Hubble Space Telescope featured on the giant Toshiba Vision screens in honor of the Hubble’s 25th anniversary in space.
