POMPANO BEACH, Fla.  – Adam Richman, author, actor and television personality, will be the featured national celebrity guest at the sixth annual John Offerdahl’s Broward Health® Gridiron Grill-Off Food & Wine Festival, set for Saturday, Nov. 14 at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater, 1806 NE 6 Street. Adam Richman grew up in the food Mecca of New York City and began his love affair with food early on, sampling all of the diverse culinary specialties The Big Apple had to offer. From samosas to sushi, even at a young age, Adam had a desire to taste it all.

After years of travel and invaluable on-the-job experience in the various restaurants, Adam began hosting “Man v Food” for the Travel Channel, which quickly became their highest rated show. With “Man v Food Nation,” “Adam Richman’s Best Sandwich in America” and “Fandemonium” Adam not only hosted, but co-Executive Produced.  His latest show on Travel Channel, “Man Finds Food,” in which he starred and produced, premiered in April of 2015. He has also returned to host the second season of NBC’s food competition show “Food Fighters,” which premiered earlier this month.  Adam’s first book, “America the Edible” (Rodale Publishing), hit stands in 2010 and his second book, “Straight-Up Tasty” (Clarkson Potter), debuted in June 2015.

The $85 Grand Grill-Off ticket will give attendees 21 and older the opportunity to sample delicious signature dishes created by Miami Dolphins legends and top local chefs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Past dishes include Jensen’s Chipotle Wagyu Ribs and Stradford’s Tikka Masala Grilled Pork, plus event-winning recipes, such as Crowder’s Grilled Cobia Fish Tacos and Blackwood’s Espresso and Chocolate Crusted Filet Mignon.

The $125 VIP ticket package will include a signed copy of Richman’s book, as well as early access into the Grand Grill-Off starting at 12 p.m.  This exclusive added hour of fun will feature an open bar, a meet and greet with Adam Richman and the chance to beat the lines for food tasting and to play cornhole.

100% of event net proceeds will benefit Offerdahl’s Hand-Off Foundation and its mission to “Feed the Needs of Kids in Crisis.” Charitable recipients include 4KIDS of South Florida, HOPE South Florida, Here’s Help, Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association Educational Foundation, Miami Dolphins Foundation and Taste of the NFL.
