Thursday Will Be Warm, But Rain on the Way

South Florida will enjoy a pleasantly warm winter day on Thursday, before rain returns in advance of yet another stretch of cold weather. Thursday will feature sun, clouds, and highs in the seasonable mid 70s. A few showers will move through Thursday night.

Friday will start with lows in the mid to upper 60s, and highs will reach the upper 70s. Then plenty of showers and a few storms will move in from mid afternoon into the evening.

Saturday will be dry but cold, with afternoon temperatures topping out in the mid to upper 60s.

Sunday will be very unlike South Florida, with morning lows in the upper 40s to low 50s and afternoon temperatures just reaching the mid 60s.

Faith Based Events

Monday morning will be cold again, with lows ranging from the mid 40s to near 50 at the coast, but a warming trend will begin in the afternoon as highs top out around 70 degrees.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
