Love gin? Love travel? There might be a gig that will pay you to enjoy both your passions. Susana Victoria Perez has more.
If you love gin, are passionate about travel, and have a friend you love to travel with, this is the job for you.
London bar group Mr. Fogg’s is partnering with Bombay Sapphire to hire one person — and their friend — to traverse the globe while sampling gin on an all-expenses-paid getaway.
The job is being offered to celebrate the launch of the brand’s new bar, Mr. Fogg’s Society of Exploration, which opens on September 14 and is inspired by Jules Vernes’ protagonist in “Around the World in 80 Days,” Phileas Fogg.
The 80-day trip will take the lucky pair to destinations including Hong Kong, Paris, New York City, San Francisco, Bombay and beyond, on a journey similar to the one in the novel.
The world travelers will be responsible for documenting their travels, sampling gin and collecting botanicals and ingredients to help create a new cocktail that will be a part of the new bar’s menu.
Candidates must be at least 21 years old and have a valid passport, should be good at photography and social media, and be a “lover of the unknown” to be part of this multi-country itinerary.
The chosen candidates will receive a payment upon returning from the trip, however the company has not specified the amount.
Applications must be submitted by August 27.
