Temperatures Bounce Back

Friday features a seasonably mild morning, followed by good sun and some clouds on a gusty breeze.  The East Coast metro area will see a few showers in spots during the afternoon.  Expect a high risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches on Friday and the weekend.  The rip current risk will decrease along the Gulf Coast.  Highs on Friday will be mostly in the upper- 70s on the mainland and the mid-70s in the Keys.

Saturday will bring breezy conditions and a mix of sun, clouds, and a few showers in the East Coast metro area.  The Gulf Coast and the Keys will see lots of sun.  Saturday’s highs will be in the upper-70s.

Sunday will feature sunny skies along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys, while the East Coast metro area will see mostly sunny skies and a few showers.  Sunday’s highs will be in the upper-70s.

Monday will see good sun with some clouds and showers in the East Coast metro area.  The Gulf Coast will see lots of sun, and the Keys will be mostly sunny.  Monday’s highs will be near 80 degrees on the mainland and in the upper-70s in the Keys.

Faith Based Events

Tuesday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and a few showers on a gusty breeze in the East Coast metro area.  The Gulf Coast will be sunny, while the Keys will see a mix of sun and clouds.  Highs on Tuesday will be mostly in the low-80s in the East Coast metro area and the upper-70s along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
