Lohmann, 49, has been named Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Assistant Secretary-Treasurer of Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative of Florida. He succeeds Juan Tellechea in this position upon his retirement on Sept. 30, 2015 after 32 years of service.
“We wish Juan all the best in his well-deserved retirement,” said Cooperative President and CEO Tony Contreras. “Juan served our company’s needs well and has mentored Brian in preparation to fill his big shoes. We are confident that Brian is up to executing all the financial duties of our enterprise.”
Lohmann joined the Cooperative in 2008 as supervisor of the accounting department. Prior to joining the Cooperative, Lohmann worked for Pioneer Growers as the Director of Replenishment in managing the Wal-Mart account for the eastern United States. He also owned his own accounting firm in Pahokee and Belle Glade for 16 years serving the needs of both the consumer and business market.
Lohmann also dedicates a great deal of time to community activities including chairing the Board of Glades Day School from 2009-2015 and chairing the finance committee of the Health Care District of Palm Beach County from 2011-present.
Lohmann earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Florida in 1988. He and his wife Angee raise their four children in Belle Glade.
