Saturday features a cool morning and sunny skies around South Florida.  Look for breezy conditions along the Gulf Coast.  A high risk of dangerous rip currents remains along the Palm Beach County coast through the morning.  Highs on Saturday will be mostly in the low-80s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and in the upper-70s along the Gulf Coast.

Sunday morning will be quite chilly for April, with lows in the upper-50s to low-60s on the mainland.  The day will bring lots of sun and just a cloud at times.  Sunday’s highs will be in the low-80s in the East Coast metro area and near 80 degrees along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

Monday will feature another cool morning and lots of sun.  Monday’s highs will be in the low-80s.

Tuesday will start with morning lows in the low to mid-60s on the mainland, followed by plenty of sun and a few clouds in the East Coast metro area and the Keys.  The Gulf Coast will see sunny skies.  Tuesday’s highs will be mostly in the mid-80s in the East Coast metro area and in the low-80s along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.

Wednesday’s forecast calls for another cool morning.  Then look for lots of sun around South Florida.  Highs on Wednesday will be mostly in the mid-80s on the mainland and in the low-80s in the Keys.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
