Thursday features plenty of sun on the mainland and a nice mix of sun and clouds in the Keys.  Expect an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents along the Palm Beach County coast.  Highs on Thursday will be in the upper-70s right at the Atlantic coast and the Keys, while the rest of South Florida will see highs in the low-80s.

Friday will bring a mild morning with lows mostly in the mid-60s.  Then we’ll see sunny skies on the mainland and good sun with a few clouds in the Keys.  Friday’s highs will be in the low-80s on the mainland and the upper-70s in the Keys.

Saturday will feature another mild morning, followed by lots of sun on the mainland and a mix of sun and clouds in the Keys.  Saturday’s highs will be in the low-80s on the mainland and mostly in the upper-70s in the Keys.

Sunday will be a sunny and pleasant day around South Florida.  Sunday’s highs will be in the low-80s on the mainland and near 80 degrees in the Keys.

Monday’s forecast calls for another near-perfect February day, with lots of sun on the mainland and a nice mix of sun and clouds in the Keys.  Highs on Monday will be in the low-80s on the mainland and near 80 degrees in the Keys.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
