In the tropics, Hurricane Ophelia is transitioning into a powerful post-tropical cyclone. At 5 am Sunday, Ophelia was located near 39.0 North, 18.3 West, and was zipping northeast at 35 miles per hour. Maximum sustained winds were 105 miles per hour. Ophelia is expected to retain hurricane forces winds when it reaches Ireland on Monday.
