Sun, Clouds And Showers Continue; Active Hurricane Season Predicted

Sun, Clouds

Sun, CloudsSouth Florida will see a mix of sun, clouds, and showers on Friday. After a few early showers in spots, Friday will feature a mix of sun and clouds. The Atlantic sea breeze and Gulf breeze should be strong enough during the afternoon to push showers and storms well into the interior, away from metro areas on both coasts. Highs on Friday will be in the mid 80s.

Saturday morning will bring lows near 70 degrees, and the day will see a mix of sun and clouds with developing showers as a front approaches. We’ll also see an increasing risk of dangerous rip currents at South Florida’s beaches. Saturday’s highs will be mostly in the upper 80s.

Sunday will feature sun, clouds, and a few showers. Sunday’s highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.

Look for good sun and some clouds on Monday. Monday’s highs will be mostly in the upper 80s.

Faith Based Events

Another front approaches on Tuesday, so we’ll see a mix of sun, clouds, and showers during the day. Highs on Tuesday will mostly in the mid 80s.

2018 Hurricane Season Forecast (Image: WeatherPlus – The Palm Beach Post)

We’re counting down to the start of the 2018 Atlantic hurricane season, and the Colorado State University team is out with their seasonal numbers. They’re predicting an above normal season, with 14 named storms and 7 hurricanes (which includes 3 major hurricanes of category 3 strength or greater). That’s down from 2017’s tally of 17 named storms and 6 major hurricanes. But seasonal forecasts are only an attempt to look at the “big picture.” The bottom line for us is to be prepared, regardless of the seasonal forecast numbers.
