Sun and Showers Saturday

The weekend starts with good sun, clouds at times, and some afternoon showers in spots.  A moderate risk of dangerous rip currents remains in place at the Atlantic beaches.  Highs on Saturday will be in the upper 80s in the east coast metro area and the low 90s elsewhere.

Sunday will bring a mix of sun and clouds with passing showers and storms.  Sunday’s highs will be mostly in the upper 80s.

The chance of showers and storms (and periods of heavy rain) increases on Monday as some tropical moisture works its way in.  Monday’s highs will be in the upper 80s.

Look for lots of clouds and periods of showers and storms on Tuesday, and heavy rain is possible again.  Tuesday’s highs will be in the upper 80s.

The forecast for Wednesday includes clouds, showers, and storms again.  Highs on Wednesday will be in the upper 80s.

In the tropics, the only feature we’re watching is a developing area of low pressure in the central Atlantic between Bermuda and the Azores.  It has a low chance of becoming a tropical or subtropical depression as it moves generally to the northwest.
