Sun And Clouds Today; Watching The Tropics

South Florida will see sun, clouds, and maybe a shower on Thursday.  The day features some sun with those clouds and a few east coast showers in spots on the ocean breeze.  A moderate risk of dangerous rip currents remains in place at the Atlantic beaches, and minor coastal flooding is likely at high tides.  Highs on Thursday will be in the mid 80s.
Friday will bring additional moisture into the area, so look for a few more showers along with sun and clouds.  Friday’s highs will be in the upper 80s.
A front moves in late on Saturday, so we’ll see showers and clouds on the breeze during the day.  Saturday’s highs will be in the mid 80s.
Sunday morning will be cooler and drier, with lows in the mid to upper 60s.  Then the day will feature sun and a few clouds on the breeze.  Sunday’s highs will be in the low 80s.
Monday will start out with lows in the 60s, and we’ll see good sun and some clouds on the breeze.  Highs on Monday will be in the low to mid 80s.
In the tropics, the low in the middle of the Atlantic has a high chance of developing into a tropical or subtropical storm over the weekend.  Computer models show this system moving northward, then westward, but remaining in the open ocean.  We’ll keep an eye on it, since we still have five weeks left in the 2018 Atlantic hurricane season.
