Stormy Friday

Friday features clouds and showers in the morning and stormy periods in the afternoon and evening.  After heavy rain overnight in much of Broward and Miami-Dade, additional rain will result in localized flooding.  A moderate risk of dangerous rip currents is in place at the Atlantic beaches.  Highs on Friday will be in the upper 80s in the east coast metro area and near 90 degrees along the Gulf coast.

Saturday will see lingering clouds and periods of showers and storms throughout the day.  Expect a high risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches this weekend and into the workweek.  Saturday’s highs will be in the upper 80s right at the Atlantic coast and in the low 90s elsewhere.

Sunday will be cloudy once again, with some showers and storms developing during the mid to late afternoon.  Look for a gusty ocean breeze in the east coast metro area.  Sunday’s highs will be in the upper 80s in the east coast metro area and the low 90s along the Gulf coast.

Monday will feature a mix of sun and clouds, with afternoon showers and storms in spots during the mid to late afternoon.  Monday’s highs will be in the upper 80s in the east coast metro area and the low 90s along the Gulf coast.

Tuesday’s forecast calls for good sun with a mix of clouds, showers, and a few storms in spots.  Look for breezy conditions near the Atlantic coast.  Highs on Tuesday will be in the mid to upper 80s in the east coast metro area and in the low 90s along the Gulf coast.

She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons.
