Stormy and Sticky South Florida

stormy

South Florida will be stormy and sticky on Friday as our taste of summertime continues. stormyStrong storms have developed early Friday morning and are moving from the Keys into southern Miami-Dade through mid to late morning. Periods of heavy rain, dangerous lightning, and gusty winds accompany these storms. Showers and possibly more storms (especially in Broward and Palm Beach counties) are in the forecast for Friday afternoon, as highs reach the mid 80s.

Rain fell very quickly across Southeastern Palm Beach and Northeast Broward counties on stormythe Thursday afternoon and evening, leading to significant flooding of roadways in this area.

Here’s a look at the radar rainfall estimates (the shading) and some of the highest rainfall reports we received.

How much rainfall did you receive across your area?

Showers and maybe a stray storm will develop on Saturday as some drier air tries to work its way in. Saturday’s highs will be in the mid 80s.

We can’t rule out showers on Easter Sunday, and highs will be in the low to mid 80s.

Look for more showers to return on Monday and Tuesday, along with summerlike highs in the sticky mid 80s, as another front stalls out to our north, leaving us in the warm sector.
