Still Sunny and Mostly Dry

  Friday features good sun, clouds at times, and maybe a stray shower on an ocean breeze.  Highs on Friday will be in the upper 80s in the east coast metro area and the low 90s elsewhere.

Saturday will bring good sun and a few clouds, with passing showers in spots.  Saturday’s highs will be in the upper 80s near the east coast and the low 90s elsewhere.

Sunday will feature lots of sun and a few passing showers along the Gulf coast, while the east coast will see good sun with clouds and passing showers at times on a brisk ocean breeze.  Sunday’s highs will be mostly in the upper 80s.

Faith Based Events

Look for sun, clouds, and passing showers on a breezy Monday.  Monday’s highs will be mostly in the upper 80s.

Tuesday’s forecast includes sun, some clouds, and periods of showers.  Tuesday will be breezy again along the east coast.  Highs on Tuesday will be in the upper 80s.

In the tropics, Tropical Storm Karen was hanging on early Friday, but it could become a remnant low as early as Saturday.  At 5 am Friday, Karen was located near 28.3 North, 61.2 West, about 350 miles southeast of Bermuda.  Maximum sustained winds were estimated at 40 miles per hour, and Karen was moving northeast at 8 miles per hour.  Karen is forecast to slow down, loop, and then turn eastward before dissipating on Tuesday.

On the other side of the Atlantic, Hurricane Lorenzo is now a powerful category 4 hurricane.  At 5 am Friday, Lorenzo was located near 18.6 North, 42.1 West, about 1620 miles southwest of the Azores.  Maximum sustained winds were 145 miles per hour.  Lorenzo was moving north-northwest at 14 miles per hour.  Lorenzo is forecast to weaken somewhat before passing close to the Azores late on Tuesday into Wednesday.
