State Rep. Kristin Jacobs, D-Coconut Creek, will not run for state Senate against them.
The speculation for months was that Jacobs, a first term House member, was considering jumping into the race for the open north Broward seat. Many political observers considered Jacobs would be Waldman and Farmer’s toughest opponent as a popular former county commissioner and a strong environmentalist.
