South Florida will see some rain and some sun on Wednesday as we approach what is likely to be a wet holiday weekend. Wednesday starts with a few early showers in spots, and the day features clouds, some sun, and periods of showers. A few storms could pop up in the afternoon. An elevated risk of dangerous rip currents remains at the Atlantic beaches. Highs on Wednesday will be in the mid 80s.
Thursday will bring some sun, more clouds, and showers at times. Thursday’s highs will be in the mid 80s.
Friday will see a return to more clouds and showers, and afternoon storms will develop in spots. Friday’s highs will be in the mid 80s.
Saturday will feature tropical moisture — bringing clouds, showers, and some storms. Saturday’s highs will be mostly in the mid 80s.
Sunday will be another mostly rainy day, with showers, some storms, and plenty of clouds. Highs on Sunday will be in the mid 80s.
The large area of showers in the western Caribbean has a medium chance of developing into a tropical or subtropical depression during the next 5 days. Whether or not it develops, its effects on South Florida’s weather will be to enhance our chances of seeing additional heavy rain this weekend.
