Some Friday Showers, Watching the Disturbance

friday showers

South Florida will see some Friday showers and a few afternoon storms, but we’re still watching the tropics for a potential preseason depression or tropical storm developing a few hundred miles to our east.

Our holiday weekend weather is dependent on development and track of the disturbance east of the Bahamas, which could become a tropical depression later today. It’s tracking to the northwest and will have more direct impacts (regardless of development) from the Georgia coast to the Carolinas late in the weekend.

We’ll see easterly winds and more moisture on Monday, which will increase our chances of showers and storms on Memorial Day and into the start of the new work week. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.
