By Donna Thomas, SouthFloridaReporter.com Meteorologist, July 31, 2015 – South Florida will end the month of July with some afternoon storms, but the bulk of the activity will be just to our north. After a mostly dry morning, look for building clouds, highs in the sticky low 90s, and afternoon showers and storms in spots.
We’ll see a cloudy weekend, with passing showers and afternoon storms. Highs on both Saturday and Sunday will be in the low 90s.
Look for some afternoon storms forming on the sea breeze during the first half of the workweek, and highs will be in the low 90s Monday through Wednesday.
In the tropics, the wave that’s a few hundred miles southwest of the Cape Verde Islands is moving westward and has a low chance of developing into a depression over the next several days. The low off the Carolina coast is about to merge with a frontal system and has virtually no chance of tropical or subtropical development.
