By RC White, SouthFloridaReporter.com, Oakland Park, Aug 25, 2015 – After toying with police for almost an hour by taking them on a slow speed pursuit through NE Fort Lauderdale, Wilton Manors and Oakland Park, the man who stole a Ford F450 truck was finally taken into custody by Broward sheriff’s deputies on Powerline north of Oakland Park Blvd Tuesday afternoon. The unidentified suspect is now in the custody of the Fort Lauderdale police.
While the driver of the stolen truck stayed within the speed limit and often used his turn signals, he did sometimes drive over medians and cut corners as seen here at N Andrews and 16 street in Fort Lauderdale.
The truck which belongs to the City of Fort Lauderdale Public Works was stolen near 3000 East Commercial Blvd. shortly before 2:00 PM.
