South Florida will be sizzling hot on Saturday, with just some scattered afternoon storms to break the heat. The day features hot sun, building clouds, mostly inland afternoon storms in spots, and highs in the low to mid 90s.
A front will stall over us on Father’s Day, bringing clouds, showers, some afternoon and evening storms, and highs around 90 degrees.
Work week forecast
A few early showers will be around on Monday, along with some mostly inland afternoon storms. Monday’s highs will be in the upper 80s. Look for ocean breezes, a few inland afternoon storms, and highs in the upper 80s on Tuesday.
More showers and storms will be around on Wednesday and especially on Thursday, as a tropical wave passes to our south. Highs both days will be in the upper 80s.
Watching the tropics
In the tropics, an area of disturbed weather in the northwestern Caribbean is pushing into the Yucatan peninsula. The National Hurricane Center gives this feature a medium chance of developing into a depression as it moves into the Bay of Campeche over the next few days.
