Saturday features some sun, more clouds, and periods of showers on a gusty breeze in the East Coast metro area.  The Gulf Coast will see a gusty breeze, mostly sunny skies in the morning, and some showers in the afternoon.  Look for a mix of sun, clouds, showers, and storms in the Keys.  A high risk of dangerous rip currents remains at the Atlantic beaches through Sunday evening.  Highs on Saturday will be in the low-80s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and in the mid-80s along the Gulf Coast.

Sunday will bring good sun, a gusty breeze, a few morning storms, and some  afternoon and evening showers to the East Coast metro area.  The Gulf Coast will be mostly sunny with periods of showers in the morning and some storms in the afternoon and evening.  Look for a mix of sun and clouds in the Keys.  Sunday’s highs will be mostly in the mid-80s in the East Coast metro area and the low-80s along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

Monday will feature mostly sunny skies with a few morning storms and some afternoon showers in the East Coast metro area.  The Gulf Coast will be sunny with the chance of a stray afternoon shower.  Look for lots of sun in the Keys.  Monday’s highs will be in the mid-80s in the East Coast metro area and the low-80s along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

Tuesday will see lots of sun with maybe a stray afternoon storm in the East Coast metro area.  The Gulf Coast will be mostly sunny with maybe an afternoon shower in spots.  The Keys will see another sunny day.  Tuesday’s highs will be in the mid-80s in the East Coast metro area and the low-80s along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

Wednesday’s forecast calls for sunny skies around South Florida.  Highs on Wednesday will be in the mid-80s on the mainland and the low-80s in the Keys.

She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
