Showers and Storms forecast for South Florida

By Donna Thomas, SouthFloridaReporter.com Meteorologist, July 27, 2015 – Showers and storms are in the forecast for South Florida on Monday. After a mostly dry early morning, look for building clouds and showers, highs in the sticky low 90s, and afternoon storms. Some areas will get periods of heavy downpours.

Rain chances decrease on Tuesday, but a few afternoon storms are possible, along with highs in the low 90s.

We’ll be back in a pattern of a few early showers, afternoon storms forming along the sea breeze, and highs in the low 90s on Wednesday and through the workweek.

The question is how much moisture will be in the atmosphere over South Florida — and how much relief we’ll get from the drought.
