Sea Level Restaurant & Ocean Bar – Fort Lauderdale’s under the radar foodie find – is launching new off-the-wall specials showcasing summer flavors. Located at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa, Sea Level is known to locals for Executive Chef Jason Connelly’s wildly inventive farm-to-table fare highlighting the best ingredients South Florida has to offer.
Setting Sea Level apart from other seashore eateries is the restaurant’s wall-to-wall chalkboard, which showcases a rotating list of dishes affectionately referred to as “Farm-to-Sea Level” cuisine by Chef Connelly. Lending to its locavore bent, the restaurant also boasts a backyard-style herb garden which supplies the kitchen with fresh herbs and vegetables.
To celebrate summer, Chef Connelly is introducing several new chalkboard specials featuring seasonable flavors and ingredients. Specials change monthly, with some remaining through lunch and dinner service and range from $28 to $32. June chalkboard choices just launched include Day Boat Scallops with Paradise Farms haricot vert and corn, peas, Michael Borek Farms heirloom cherry tomato, scallion, fingerling potato, fava butter and Market Fish with jumbo lump crab, warm quinoa salad, Sea Level garden arugula, carrot puree. Also on offer is the restaurant’s new Mushroom Goat Cheese Burger, a savory patty topped with smoked bacon, thyme aioli, fried egg and Sea Level garden arugula, which will be available through the end of July.
On deck for July are Chef Connelly’s House-made Pasta – bay scallop, Benton’s bacon, Michael Borek Farms heirloom cherry tomato, spinach, Sea Level garden herbs and bread crumbs and NY Strip Steak with black garlic compound butter, Paradise Farms yellow wax bean, Michael Borek Farms heirloom cherry tomato and edamame butter, along with several more new creations.
