The Republican Club of Indian River County will host Roger Stone at its next monthly meeting on Thursday, January 3rd at the Grand Harbor Golf & Beach Club in Vero Beach, according to club president Frank Sosta.
Hosted by the Republican Club of Indian River, a full dinner will be served at the Grand Harbor Golf & Beach Club in Vero Beach. Doors open for a cocktail hour at 5 p.m. – meeting starts promptly at 6:00. Mandatory RSVP is required – tickets start at $65.00.
Roger Stone – a self-described “dirty trickster” – is a seasoned political operative, speaker, pundit, and New York Times bestselling author featured in the Netflix documentary “Get me Roger Stone.” A veteran of ten national presidential campaigns, he served as a senior campaign aide to four Republican presidents; including Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and Donald J. Trump. Stone also served as Chairman of Donald Trump’s Presidential Exploratory Committee in 2000 and as a Strategic Consultant in 2012.
Stone’s alleged ties to WikiLeaks while he communicated with Trump’s campaign have come under scrutiny in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into possible collusion between Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and Russia. Stone has come out in the president’s defense and reiterated that he would assert his Fifth Amendment right not to provide documents or testify to the “witch hunts” of the Senate intelligence and judiciary committees.
The Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution protects individuals from being compelled by the government to testify or produce documents that might incriminate them.
An outspoken libertarian, Stone is the author of the New York Times bestseller “The Man Who Killed Kennedy: The Case Against LBJ,” the “Clinton’s War on Women, The Bush Crime Family”, and the “Making of the President 2016 – How Donald Trump Orchestrated a Revolution.” Stone has written for Fox Opinion, Infowars, Breitbart News, StoneZone, the Daily Caller, and the New York Times.
A well-known voice in politics for over forty years, Stone often gives insights on behind-the-scenes political agendas at StoneColdTruth and StoneZone, as well as InfoWars, where he hosts an hour-long show five days a week.
