By Donna Thomas, SouthFloridaReporter.com Meteorologist, July 12, 2015 – South Florida will be mostly dry on Sunday, with the exception of some early morning showers, but rain is on the way. For Sunday, look for passing early showers to give way to hot sun and highs in the sweltering low 90s. Moisture starts to work its way in on Monday, and afternoon storms will return. Monday’s highs will be in the low 90s. The rest of the workweek will feature a typical summertime pattern, with highs in the sticky low to mid 90s and afternoon storms.
In the tropics, we’re watching an area of disturbed weather several hundred miles off the North Carolina coast. The National Hurricane Center gives this feature a low chance of developing into a tropical cyclone over the next few days.
