Pulling The Plug On Pitbull: Not The Face Of Florida Anymore! (Video)

Pitbull

It was hard to imagine rapper Pitbull working for the government.

Visit Florida, a hybrid governmental-private tourism group, which used Pitbull as a “brand ambassador” has not renewed Mr. 305’s contract.

He nabbed the contract last year, and as part of the agreement he started using social media to hawk Florida and gave use of his Sexy Beaches single to the organization to promote tourism to the sunshine state.

Pitbull’s contract with the organization has been shrouded in secrecy because organizations like Visit Florida get public money, but are able to skirt public scrutiny and oversight.

Faith Based Events

Which is pretty crazy considering in 2015 the organization got $75 million in taxpayer money!

How much went to Pitbull, whose legal name is Armando Perez, as part of his contract which expired on June 30 is a mystery.

Earlier this year, Gov. Scott called for a review and audit of the agency.
