If you believe the Greek and British tabloids, the luck of Wellington’s forever unlucky poor little rich girl Athina Onassis may be changing.
We’re told the heiress and divorcee Onassis, 31, who recently split from her horsie-husband Alvaro “Doda” de Miranda Neto after her security detail found him in bed with another woman in Wellington, has found comfort with uber-eligible Prince Harry!
That’s right, the red-haired 31-year-old Harry has been Onassis’ shoulder to cry on.
The Greek Reporter said: “He may have no shortage of female admirers, but Prince Harry appears to be a sucker for a damsel in distress – providing a shoulder to cry on for his pal Athina Onassis in the wake of her heartbreaking marriage split.”
The wonderfully charming Prince Harry spent some time in Wellington this May for a charity polo match before heading to Orlando for his Invictus Games.
Onassis, of course, is the granddaughter of shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis who married Jackie Kennedy. That makes Athina practically American royalty.
Lawyer Robert Cohen is said to be handling the divorce and it is expected to be settled quickly.
We’ll keep a close eye on this one and our fingers crossed for a spring marriage!
