There must be something in the water in Battle Creek, Michigan that makes the folks who live there very creative, especially when it has to do with breakfast.  Pop-Tarts® has been making mornings Crazy Good™ with fun flavors for years. Now, one of America’s toastiest pastries is taking tastes a step further by introducing its first varieties mashed-up with soda pop flavors – Pop-Tarts, inspired by iconic A&W™ Root Beer and Crush™ Orange.

“We’re always trying to surprise our fans with flavors they’ll love,” said Angela Gusse, director of marketing for Pop-Tarts. “Pop-Tarts and soda pop is a fun, new flavor combination – the Frosted A&W Root Beer and Frosted Crush Orange varieties are so different from our fruity and dessert-type tarts, and this is our first beverage-inspired flavor. We’re excited to welcome them to our Pop-Tarts family!”

Available at retailers nationwide in May 2016, new Pop-Tarts Frosted A&W Root Beer are bubbling with root beer-flavored filling, wrapped inside a golden crust, and are topped with sweet white frosting and brown, red and orange crunchlets. Pop-Tarts Frosted Crush Orange citrus-flavored filling will tingle your taste buds with its sweet white frosting and orange string icing.
