Later This WeekSouth Florida will see plenty of sun on Tuesday, but we’ll be easing into the rainy season later this week. After a warm and humid morning, Tuesday features good sun and a few clouds. We could see a stray coastal shower in the morning. Highs on Tuesday will be in the low 90s.

Wednesday will bring lots of sun and a few clouds, with just the chance of a stray shower. Highs on Wednesday will be near 90 degrees.

Look for some early showers on the breeze on Thursday, and a stray storm is possible. Then we’ll see a mix of sun and clouds, followed by some afternoon storms, especially inland. Highs on Thursday will be near 90 degrees.

Friday will continue the rainy season pattern, with a few early coastal showers, a mix of sun and clouds, and afternoon storms, especially inland. Friday’s highs will be near 90 degrees.

Faith Based Events

Saturday will bring a mix of sun and clouds, and a few afternoon showers and storms will be back. Saturday’s highs will be near the 90 degree mark again.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
