PBSOE Susan Bucher: Using Mosque As Voting Station Sounded Like A Good Idea!

Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Susan Bucher came out of hiding today more than a week after Gossip Extra scooped the much larger corporate media staffs and told you about her plan to use a Boca Raton mosque as voting center for the upcoming presidential elections.

While West Palm Beach’s dying out-of-town news outfits were still trying to figure out what was happening, we ferreted out Bucher and shamed her into doing her job in being transparent with the public.

Memba our scoop? Bucher approved the use of the Islamic Center of Boca Raton in the middle of a mostly Jewish precinct, never mind that mosque leaders spoke in favor of the violence of sharia law and were linked to anti-Israel activities.

When local voters started complaining, Bucher flipped-flopped and opted for a library two miles away.

Faith Based Events

Among the 50 or so phone calls from folks “uncomfortable” being in a mosque, Bucher says one caller threatened to phone in a bomb scare on election day if Bucher, a Democrat, insisted on using the Islamic center.
