America’s got a new president on the way but there’s only ever going to be one King—and his fans are in for a treat. HBO says a new documentary on Elvis Presley directed by Thom Zimny, maker of two acclaimed Bruce Springsteen films, is almost complete, Rolling Stone reports. The two-part, three-hour documentary will cover the star’s life from childhood through to his final recording sessions in 1976. It was made with the full cooperation of the Presley estate and will feature never-before-seen photos and footage from the Graceland archives, reports Deadline.

“The producers came to HBO and Sony with the idea for a film drawing upon very rare footage that captures Elvis’ musicianship in a new and exciting way,” HBO Miniseries chief Kary Antholis said in a statement. Pitchfork notes that in another Presley project, Leonardo DiCaptrio has signed up to star in a biopic of the life of Elvis producer Sam Phillips. Last month, when discussing the release new Elvis orchestral album “The Wonder of You,” Priscilla Presley told the Los Angeles Times that there is absolutely no way that Elvis would be on Twitter if he was alive today. “He didn’t even write a letter,” she said. “Elvis was very private.”
