muggySouth Florida will see east coast storms on Thursday, but it will be summertime hot around the area.  After a muggy start, Thursday features sun and building clouds, with storms and showers developing in the east coast metro areas by midday.  The Gulf coast will see a few late-day storms as well.  Highs on Thursday will be mostly in the low 90s, but it will feel more like 100 degrees.

Friday will start with some early east coast showers, and then the day will bring sun, clouds, and periods of showers and storms (but not as widespread as Thursday) developing along the sea breezes during the afternoon.  Friday’s highs will be near 90 degrees.

Saturday will continue the pattern of sun, clouds, and afternoon showers and storms.  Saturday’s highs will be near 90 degrees.

Sunday will be another summer day of sun, clouds, and passing showers and storms.  Sunday’s highs will be near 90 degrees.

Faith Based Events

Look for a repeat on Monday — a mix of sun and clouds followed by afternoon showers and storms.  Highs on Monday will be near 90 degrees.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
