Sunday features milder morning lows than we’ve seen in recent days.  Then look for mostly sunny skies around South Florida and the continuation of a warming trend.  A high risk of dangerous rip currents remains at the Atlantic beaches.  Highs on Sunday will be in the mid-70s.

Monday will bring seasonable lows in the mid-50s to low-60s on the mainland.  Then we’ll see good sun and a few clouds in the East Coast metro area, sunny skies along the Gulf Coast, and more clouds than sun and a few showers in the Keys.  Monday’s highs will be mostly in the mid-70s.

Tuesday will feature morning lows in the 50s on the mainland, followed by lots of sun around South Florida.  Tuesday’s highs will be in the mid-70s on the mainland and mostly in the low-70s in the Keys.

Wednesday morning will see lows in the mid-50s to low-60s on the mainland.  Then we’ll see plenty of sun and a few clouds.  Wednesday’s highs will be mostly in the upper-70s in the East Coast metro area and in the mid-70s along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

Faith Based Events

Thursday’s forecast calls for another seasonal morning and mostly sunny skies in the afternoon.  Highs on Thursday will be in the upper-70s on the mainland and in the mid-70s in the Keys.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
