South Florida will see sun and passing showers again on Thursday. The day features a few early east coast showers, followed by sun and clouds. Activity shifts to the west as the Atlantic sea breeze cranks up in the afternoon. Temperatures will range between the low to mid 90s across South FL with heat index values ranging from 100 to 105 today. Stay hydrated!
Friday will bring lower rain chances and plenty of sun. Friday’s highs will be in the low 90s.
Look for a greater chance of showers (and a few storms) on Saturday. Saturday’s highs will be near 90 degrees.
Sunday’s forecast includes early east coast showers, sun and clouds, and afternoon showers and storms, especially in western locations. Sunday’s highs will be near 90 degrees.
Monday will feature more of the same — early showers along the east coast, followed by sea breeze showers and storms, especially in the interior and along the Gulf coast.
In the tropics, Tropical Storm Kirk is approaching the Lesser Antilles. At 5 am Thursday, Kirk was located near 13.5 North, 58.3 West, and was moving west-northwest at 16 miles per hour. Maximum sustained winds were 50 miles per hour. Kirk is expected to weaken steadily as it moves through the eastern Caribbean, with dissipation expected by early Sunday.
In the open Atlantic, the remnants of Leslie are expected to regenerate into a subtropical or tropical storm later on Thursday or early Friday.
