Look for periods of sun with some clouds on an occasionally gusty ocean breeze during the day on Thursday. A high risk of dangerous rip currents remains in place at the Atlantic beaches on Thursday. Highs on Thursday will be in the low 80s.

Look for more clouds to develop on Saturday, and a few showers will pass by in spots. Saturday’s highs will be in the low 80s.

Faith Based Events

Sunday will bring clouds, some sun, and more showers, with the possibility of a late storm or two. Highs on Sunday will be mostly in the mid 80s.

Monday features a mix of sun and clouds, with passing showers in the forecast once again. Monday’s highs will be in the mid 80s.

ocean breezeIn the tropics, Subtropical Depression # 1 is barely at depression status in the central Atlantic. Cold ocean waters and wind shear will limit its strength, and it is expected to be absorbed by a larger system within a day or so.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
