New Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase, who’s busy leading the team in its second week of training camp today, just spent $750,000 on his first house in South Florida.
According to Broward County records, the 38-year-old plunked down cash – who needs a mortgage when you’re the youngest NFL head coach! – on a 1,556-square-foot crib at 1108 SE 6th Street, just south of Las Olas Boulevard in the Rio Vista neighborhood.
Gase, his wife Jennifer and their three young kids moved in last month, according to a real estate source.
Signed by the Fins to a five-year contract after working as the Chicago Bears’ offensive coordinator, Gase shopped for a three bedroom home near the restaurants of downtown Fort Lauderdale.
He wanted something with character: The house was built in 1935, but was renovated several times since.
The value of Gase’s deal with the Fins has not yet been leaked just yet, but it’s clear from looking at his new rockpile that he’s not making anywhere near Ryan Tannehill, the quarterback he’s supposed to whip into championship shape.
The QB lives in nearby Colee Hammock, a short walk across Tarpon Bend from Gase’s new house.
Tannehill paid $4.3 million for his house in March.
