Serena Williams just introduced her baby daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian, Jr. to the world by posting photos and a video documenting her entire pregnancy this morning.
The little girl, named after Williams’ fiance and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, is Williams’ first child and was born at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
The video posted on SerenaWilliams.com reveals that mother and daughter had to stay in the hospital for six days due to complications. Williams doesn’t elaborate any more than that, but in a clearly cheerful voice says, “Look what we got, a baby girl!”
Her daughter was born Sept. 1 at a healthy 6-pounds, 14-ounces.
In the first photo of Alexis Jr., she’s shown snuggling with mom, all swaddled up in a white blanket.
