May Starts Out Sunny And Breezy

It’s a breezy beginning to the month of May in South Florida on Tuesday. After a few stray showers overnight, Tuesday features good sun, a few clouds and a few additional showers on the ocean breeze along the east coast. A high risk of dangerous rip currents is in place at the Atlantic beaches today and for the next few days. Highs on Tuesday will be in the low 80’s along the east coast and the mid 80’s elsewhere.

A few early showers will be around on Wednesday, and morning lows will be in the low 70’s along the Atlantic coast and the upper 60’s elsewhere. The day will bring some sun, some clouds, and periods of showers on the breeze, especially in Miami-Dade and Broward. Wednesday’s highs will be in the mid 80’s.

Thursday will feature good sun, a few clouds, and a brisk east coast breeze. Thursday’s highs will be mostly in the mid 80’s.

Look for good sun and a few clouds on Friday. Friday’s highs will be in the mid to upper 80’s.

Faith Based Events

Some showers with sun and clouds are in the forecast for Saturday. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid to upper 80’s.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
