Mattel has released Barbies to go along with the characters from the upcoming film adaptation of “A Wrinkle in Time”. Keri Lumm (@thekerilumm) reports on the world’s excitement.
The “Mrs. W” ladies of “A Wrinkle in Time” are being transformed by Mattel into Barbie dolls.
Mrs. Whatsit (Reese Witherspoon), Mrs. Which (Oprah Winfrey) and Mrs. Who (Mindy Kaling) will soon be available as a collectable set of Barbies, just ahead of the release of the fantasy film — and the women who play them are thrilled.
“When a childhood dream comes to life!” Witherspoon captioned a picture of the doll made in her likeness. “Excited to reveal my very own @Mattel doll – based off of my Red-headed alter ego, Mrs. WhatsIt from #WrinkleInTime!!”
The dolls are described on Barbie’s website as “for the adult collector” and will retail at $50 per doll once they’re available on Feb. 23.
